orite. so i didn’t bother reading up on that book after the first hundred pages.
hahaahahaa.
its been a whirlwind here.
loads have been happening.
Now Open has just ended their PowerJam Finals.
CONGRATSSSS!
Golly, jolly me.
The excitement and the nerves had me real bad those past weeks.
Now its back to normalcy in life. (sorta)
Been clearing the laundry bit by bit these days.
Next items to have their bath would be the babies & the bags.
Been tanning alot too since May.
And my photos still are like done up in bits and pieces on the various websites i maintain here and everywhere else.
And i also wanna shout out to all the friends i met whilst in Orchard/Mrt Stations.
And also to all those who i haven’t met up with in years!
I miss you all too much to mention.
All ex-colleagues, hope that all is well with you guys…
Keep the fire burnin’ ever brightly.
thanks+goodnight.

Am currently on page 85 of Paul Theroux’s ” Blinding Light ”
They’ve started absorbing the ayahuasca into their bloodstreams.
Its an ancient Ecuadorian hallucinogen that is supposed to seperate the soul from the body.
In other words, its like mental re-incarnation of some sort.
Two people from the adventure have taken it so far.
The first one vomitted, the second one isn’t far away from a trance-induced state.
This is getting interesting.
I’d rather read about stuff like this than try it.
It causes death in severe cases.
Let me type you somethings from the bookend.
“Blinding Light is a slyly satirical novel of manners and mind expansion. Slade Steadman, a writer who has lost his chops, sets out for the Ecuadorian jungle with his ex-girlfriend in search of inspiration and a rare hallucinogen. The drug, once found, heightens his powers of perception and his libido, but it also leaves him with an unfortunate side effect : periodic blindness. Unable to resist the insights that enable him to write again, Steadman spends the next year of his life in thrall to his psychedelic muse and his erotic fantasies, with consequences that are both ecstatic and disastrous. ‘

While at the Seah Imm Carpark having lunch yesterday, my eyes fell upon this strangely silent girl. She was walking with her mom, i presume, looking for a table space.
Her eyes, they were the epitome of wideness. They stretched beyond artistic measurements. Maybe she failed to realise how wide her eyes were as she had them eye-lined on both the lower and the upper lids in thick black.
Twisted stroke of luck had them sit right next to me.
I was nervous.
I was scared.
I averted my span of sight/peripheral vision.
Her eyes were so blank, HUGE and lost.
Diagonally opposite our table, i saw an indian blue collared worker staring her arse down in the midst of chewing on his mish-mash mouthful of briyani.
Diagonally behind me, a couple sat down.
The guy/boy, rather, was wearing a thick snow cap. Across from him, his girl was clinging on to a very unfeminine looking straw hat.
Bird was pointing out that he was mad. i had to agree.
Where were they from? What were they thinking?
We left shortly after that to the little paradise island where the sea was not so perfect and clear.
I refused to look back.
I wanted the wide open spaces.
